More than 5,000 people converged at the University of the Incarnate Word’s athletic facilities on June 2 for the seventh annual San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup presented by Ortho Now Injury Clinic. Eighty-eight teams, competing in four divisions, braved the heat and enjoyed 13 events including tug-of-war, dodgeball, Frisbee toss, 3 v 3 basketball, sack race and a track relay. The competition was fierce but fun in this day-long event that encourages employee camaraderie, wellness, and athletic skill. Winners were based on point totals. Points were also earned prior to the event by charity donations. The RBFCU T-Shirt Contest, Valero Tailgate Contest and BioBridge Global BBQ Contest were also part of the fun.
After a day of blood-pumping fitness, congratulations to 2018 San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup champions Valero (division 1), Zachry Group (division 2), Spurs, Sports & Entertainment (division 3) and United Allergy Services (division 4).
