On June 1, 7,000 employees representing 91 companies converged on the University of the Incarnate Word campus, vying to be named champions of the San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup presented by Ortho Now Injury Clinic. After a day of exhilarating competition, congratulations and bragging rights go to Capital Group (Division 1), NuStar Energy & Zachry (Division 2 co-champions), Spurs, Sports & Entertainment (Division 3) and United Allergy Services (Division 4). Companies competed in 13 events including tug-of-war, dodgeball, Frisbee toss, 3v3 basketball, sack race and 4×100 track relay. In addition to points earned throughout the day, points were also earned prior to the event by donations to the San Antonio Food Bank, South Texas Blood & Tissue Center, University Health System Blood Donor Services, Haven for Hope, Boys & Girls Club and San Antonio Sports. The overall event benefits San Antonio Sports’ kids programs.
