San Antonio Sports i play! afterschool McCombs Automotive Soccer Tournament took place at Classics Elite Soccer Complex on Saturday, October 27. More than 1,000 kids from 48 different elementary schools in Harlandale and San Anotnio school districts teamed up to contend for the McCombs Cup. The tournament is one of five put on by San Antonio Sports as part of its i play!afterschool initiative created to encourage development in five sports for third through fifth graders.Each five-week sport unit culminates in a fun tournament where kids can demonstrate their new skills and parents, family and friends can cheer them on.
Rayburn Elementary earned third place honors, Collier Elementary earned second place, and Graebner Elementary brought home the McCombs Cup! Congratulations to everyone who participated for a job well done! Click here to see photos from the day.
