ROSTERS ANNOUNCED FOR 2024 SAN ANTONIO SPORTS ALL-STAR FOOTBALL GAME

67 High Schools, 36 School Districts Represented

One-hundred sixteen (116) student athletes representing 67 high schools have been chosen for the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game, presented by Valero which will showcase top local high school players on Saturday, January 6 at the Alamodome.  It’s the 46th anniversary of the game, in which the area’s top senior players will take the field at 5 p.m. The game follows the All-American Bowl which kicks off at noon.

One ticket serves as admission for both the All-American Bowl and San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game presented by Valero. General admission ($15) and reserved tickets ($25) will go on sale later this month. The game will also be broadcast on The CW35 and San Antonio Sports Star 94.1 FM/1250 AM radio.

Boerne High School’s head football coach Che Hendrix will coach Team Black, and Blaine Pederson from Madison High School, will coach Team Gold. Players were nominated by their high school coaches.  One-hundred ten (102) were named to All-District teams last year. In addition to physical skills, players who are All-Stars reflect perseverance, character and inner strength.

“We are proud to have Valero as our new title sponsor of the game,” says Jenny Carnes, San Antonio Sports President & CEO. “Valero values excellence and cares about the communities in which their employees work and live. Their support helps us deliver the power of sport to players, families and fans of this game.”

Powered behind quarterback Ashton Dubose’s four touchdowns—three passing, one rushing—Team Black won the 2023 San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game, 41-34.

The San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game, presented by Valero, will feature players who are committed to play for some of the top universities in the country as well as those looking for an additional chance to impress college scouts with potential scholarships to offer. Fifty-four (54) who were in the 2023 All-Star Game signed to play college football, including seven committed to Trinity University, five to Mary Hardin-Baylor and five to West Texas A&M. Thirteen (13) are going to NCAA DI schools.

San Antonio loves high school football, and game day will be an incredible showcase of high school football talent!
