SAN ANTONIO SPORTS ANNOUNCES COACHES FOR HIGH SCHOOL ALL-STAR BASKETBALL GAMES
Northside Gym Site of San Antonio Sports All-Star Basketball Games
(Nov. 10, 2025 – San Antonio) San Antonio Sports is proud to announce coaches for the 2026 San Antonio Sports All-Star Basketball Games presented by Valero set for Sunday, April 12 at Northside Sports Gym. Game day will showcase 120 top local high school seniors in a competition of Team Blue vs. Team White in two divisions that include public and private schools: 1A –5A and 6A. Each session will include a girls and boys game. An all-star skills challenge and three-point contest will take place between the afternoon and evening sessions. Games will be broadcast on KSAT 12. Rosters will be announced and tickets will go on sale in late January.
Winning coaches from the 2025 games will return, along with six new coaches. Returning high school coaches include Jaclyn Contreras, Brennan and Andrew Brewer, Alamo Heights. They will be joined by Vanessa Villarreal, Southwest; Ike Thornton, Smithson Valley; Lonny Hubbard, Steele; Ernest Lopez, McCollum, Stephanie Desmarais, Johnson; and Noe Cantu, Judson.
High school coaches can nominate up to two players for 1A-5A and three players for 6A games, and one player for the skills challenge and three-point contest. A selection committee comprised of sports media, scouts and former coaches will select the teams in mid-January.
Sixty-two (62) athletes who were in the 2025 All-Star Games are playing collegiate basketball, and eight were offered scholarships from coaches who attended the games. One hundred-eight were named all-district.
